Deepspawn’s Underhive

I first fell into the hobby in High School through the old DeAgostini Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game magazines, Moria Goblins, Uruk-hai, Men of Rohan. I went from there to Warhammer 40,000, collecting an imperial guard army.

After a long pause I dipped my toes back in painting some D&D minis, then properly dove back into the hobby with Kill Team (2017) and never looked back. I'm drawn to the John Blanche end of 40K, baroque, fever-dream gothic which is why I like Black Templars, Inquisition operatives, and kitbashed oddities. Necromunda is my happy place for this: plenty of room for rust, reliquaries and character filled weirdos.

I’m based in Sydney, Australia, painting for the table but pushing character, trying to break free of the 'Eavy Metal style and have fun with the process. Here I share progress logs, tutorials, and the occasional battle report, hoping to nudge you to try a new technique or build something gloriously weird.
